Meet Dr. Gray - Facial Plastic Surgeon Fellow at Starkman Facial Plastic Surgery

After a competitive matching process, Dr. Gray matched with Dr. Starkman into one of the 60 coveted fellowship spots accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he will spend one year in Scottsdale dedicated to advancing his training in facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty. Dr. Gray enjoys the creative process inherent to Facial Plastic Surgery and is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best.

Dr. Gray was originally born in Spain and grew up in the Pacific Northwest enjoying the outdoors. He continues to spend his free time backpacking, hiking, fly fishing, and mountain biking. He and his wife Emily love to travel, cook, and go to concerts when they're not spending time together with their golden retriever, Po.

Education & Training

Dr. Gray began his formal education by earning bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Economics from Baylor University in Texas. After graduation, he worked in research and development in biotech prior to pursuing to a career in medicine.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, where he graduated with honors and several published articles. Dr. Gray then completed a high-volume, five-year surgical residency in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Health San Antonio, participating in approximately 3,500 operations.
